Passionate about mental well-being and inclusivity, Cherliz Cohen is a queer and Middle Eastern identifying force in the realm of mental health counseling. Her academic journey began at Wagner College, where she earned a B.A. in Psychology and Gender Studies. Currently advancing her expertise at New York University, Cherliz is pursuing an M.A. in Mental Health Counseling & Wellness with a specialized focus on LGBT+ Health, Education, & Social Service.

Beyond academic accolades, Cherliz Cohen embodies a commitment to fostering change within the LGBTQ+ community and mental health landscape. Drawing from her diverse experiences and Brooklyn roots, she navigates her role with determination, now channeling her energy in Long Island to make a meaningful impact.

Professionally, Cherliz prioritizes building trusting therapeutic relationships, incorporating a holistic approach that values individualized client needs. Embracing cultural diversity, she recognizes the significance of personal backgrounds, shaping her empathetic and inclusive counseling style. 

In her downtime, Cherliz enjoys engaging in DIY projects, cosmetology, and cherishing moments with family and dog, Willow.
